Eco Freak
Arcadia Boutique Opens

One week you’re carrying groceries in a repurposed sack and avoiding Styrofoam like the plague.
The next? Driving one block in your Hummer so you don’t destroy your good suede boots.
When it comes to ecofriendly, it’s safe to say you’ve got one foot on the wagon. But Ali McCloud, owner of newly opened Arcadia Boutique, does not. And with her great selections, she’ll have you clad head to toe in organic wear.
Not only does she carry ecofriendly lines like Panda Snack (soft bamboo tees) and Stewart+Brown, but the store itself is green. McCloud used low-impact products like Flor tiles and recycled wood chips for the floor and built the shelves out of reclaimed wood. She also has Rich & Skinny and Blank denim for those moments when you fall off the eco wagon.
But don’t worry.
The drop’s a lot shorter than from the front seat of that Hummer.
Arcadia Boutique, 819 North Second Street (215-667-8099 or arcadiaboutique.com).
