Use Your Noggin
Eggnog Gelato

Ah, the holidays. So much to look forward to.
Would you be referring to the horrible tryptophan hangover or the inevitable brother-sister post-gift-giving screaming match?
Good thing there’s something that truly warrants joyful anticipation this season: eggnog gelato by Gelati di Capri. The subtly spiced treat will be a welcome addition to any event, unlike your crazy Grandma. (She got hold of the wrong Old Grand-Dad again.)
Gelati di Capri is whipped up locally using natural ingredients like organic coconut oil, evaporated cane juice, and goat’s milk from Lancaster. Pledging not to overindulge during the holidays? You’ll be comforted by the fact that agave syrup subs acts as a sweetener, making it ten times less fattening than Grandma’s famous triple-decker fruitcake (not to mention way more delicious).
And like the holidays, it’s only going to be around until January.
Making it just about the only thing you’ll be sad to say good-bye to.
Available at Essene Market & Cafe, 719 South Fourth Street (215-922-1146 or essenemarket.com).
