Give a Little Bit
Shishu Tori Sangstha Foundation

Last year, your resolution was to give back.
Well, it’s December 24. So far, the only money you’ve spent has been for the cause of Y-O-U.
It’s not too late to donate to the Shishu Tori Sangstha Foundation (the name means “children’s ferry”), which helps homeless girls in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The charity rescues abandoned girls (those most vulnerable to exploitation and abuse) and is working to establish its own girls’ schools. (And they need funds to do it.)
Local business S.V.A. Holdings is facilitating the donations, and when you give $5, you’ll get a Shishu Tori doll handmade by the children you are helping. Though, please, feel free to give more.
You’ll also receive annual updates on the young ladies you’re supporting.
Which will make you feel warmer than that new coat you just bought.
Make checks payable to Shishu Tori Sangstha and mail them in care of S.V.A. Holdings Corporation, 1700 Sansom Street, seventh floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103. For more information, go to streetchildren.org.uk.
