The Bold and the Beautiful
Purlieu Spring Collection

We’ve written about wooden mustaches, squid scarves, and so many varieties of waxing that we doubt we’re still capable of hair growth.
Thank goodness we found a label we love, because we’ve been going bare from the neck down for too long. Next time you see us, we’ll be wearing Purlieu’s knit tunics, tees, and dresses.
East Coast-raised, L.A.-based designers Sky Ferren and Wynnie Crews have split their first full collection in two: Native American (neons, pop art, geometric shapes, and traditional iconography) and Animal Print (florals with, well, duh). Bright, bold, and meant to stand out, every piece is a study in contrasts.
And if you’ve learned anything about us by now, you know that’s a really good thing.
Available at Grasshopper, 727 Walnut Street (215-925-3959). To see styles, go to purlieu.net.
