The Random Tea Room & Curiosity Shop Opens

There are lots of random combinations. Some bad: pudgy boys and skinny jeans. Some good: The Random Tea Room & Curiosity Shop.

The new store opens today and carries everything you’d want in your kitchen, on your face, and in your belly.

Owner Rebecca Goldschmidt orders a revolving stock of antique and new merch — including Rosy Naylor millinery, which we love, and 4mula beauty products, made with care in South Philly). Her business associate is a trained herbalist who selects and creates his own teas. Like For the Defense (cloves, ginger, cinnamon), an immune booster; homemade chai (no concentrate, made fresh daily); and Dragon Tail, which blooms in a clear pot.

Step through the door and you won’t want to leave.

It’s got combinations down to a T.
