A Grand Opening

Pileggi Boutique Reopens

It’s hard to reopen an established establishment in this town. Cue the smack-talkers: What are you gonna do? Knock down walls? Ruin what we love?

Andrea Chila has been getting those questions about Pileggi Boutique, open (again) as of today. What’s she going to do with the merch and the staff? Well, nothing.

Sometimes no news is good news. Pileggi will still carry favorites — like Shin Choi, Jenny Mog, and Margaret M — but it’s adding Trina Turk, Daftbird, and Gold Hawk; L.A. denim labels Aristocrat and Genetic; and high-end power sunglasses.

We can only assume that after 25 years, Joan Pileggi decided it was time to go raise alpaca. So Chila, a former fashion PR looking to mix it up, stepped in to keep the good thing going.

You know what they say: The more things change, the more they stay the same.
