Chemically Balanced

Periodic Rings

You’ve been known to experiment with chemicals. But you learned the hard way that crack is whack.

For a nontoxic experience, check out ItsNoName’s Periodic rings.

Created by Brooklyn-based husband and wife designers, the kitschy finger adornments come in 14-karat yellow gold, sterling silver, and solid platinum. Each one bears the symbol for the element from which it’s made (Ag, Au, Pt), as well as the atomic number and atomic mass, so it literally looks like it was plucked from the chart.

Of course, the price reflects the value of each material, so while the silver one is doable at $200, you’re going to have to fork over some serious cash for the platinum variety ($6,500 to be exact).

Nobody said the elements of style were cheap.
