Break from Reality
Pudel Spring Collection

We know very well what it feels like to temporarily lose your mind. (At least we thought it was temporary.)
At this point, we may be completely bats, but at least we found someone avant-garde enough to dress us.
Lina Österman is the 25-year-old college student/designer behind Swedish label Pudel, a collection of vests, jackets, tunic-style tops, and pants that mixes androgyny with anxiety and a heavy dose of dark appeal.
The unisex knit waistcoat with crisscrossed back straps is how we’re going to look really great while escaping the institution. The double-breasted, sleeveless cardi with even more ties will remind us to keep it together long enough to make it to a taxi.
Which, if you know us, is a major accomplishment.
Available at Matthew Izzo, 1109 Walnut Street (215-829-0606 or matthewizzo.com). To see styles, go to pudel.co.uk.
