Going Green
Adam Rung Woodworks

Buying furniture is a necessary evil. It costs the earth valuable resources and costs you a fortune.
If you’re looking for a more environmentally responsible approach to home furnishing, visit Adam Rung.
Rung makes most of his furnishings (beds, tables, shelving units, counters, and chairs) from wood he reclaims from demolished homes and restaurant and bar rehabs. In his hands, leftover scraps become smaller decorative pieces; wood shavings become animal bedding.
All pieces are unique: A coffee table might be fashioned from an old bar; a shelving unit may come from the door frame of a renovated home.
True, it costs a bit more than going to a mass furniture producer, but you’ll know you got an original.
And didn’t charge the earth a thing.
