Two Become One

J.L. Sullivan’s Speakeasy Opens

for him and her!

You like a nice lounge. He prefers a sports bar.

It’s about time someone came up with a compromise: J.L. Sullivan’s Speakeasy opens today and it’s a marriage of the two.

The 80-foot bar serves up jazz-era cocktails (Manhattans, sidecars, martinis) and a stellar wine list for the dolls; there’s a wide selection of beers (microbrews, imports, American standards) and top-shelf liquor for the gents. (Oh, and a plethora of flat-screens for watching games.)

The new American menu also caters to both kinds. He can feast on Kobe beef Sloppy Joe sliders, a cheesesteak BLT, or crispy duck nachos. She’ll most likely opt for the caprese flatbread, tuna tartar, or lobster quesadilla.

You’ll both be happy in the dining room’s booths.

Proving that this is, in fact, a reconcilable difference.
