He taught you to parallel park, took you to the mall (and dropped you off down the street), and shelled out your allowance. What’s not to love?
Dada Dad
He’s still got the finger-paint pictures and clay footprint thingy you made in kindergarten. (He always did appreciate the handmade touch.) This year, sign up for Spool’s June 7 and 8 sewing classes and make him a cool BBQ apron.
Fly Guy
Dad gets super fly with a bespoke shirt, suit, or coat from Ernesto. Way better than the schlubby sweats Mom keeps threatening to toss.
Smooth Operator
Treat Pops to an old-fashioned shave and haircut at Groom, where hot towels and good tunes make for clean-skin heaven. Plus it’ll remind him of ye goode ol’ days (the ones he was too young to experience but still tells stories about).
Real Deal
The meat-and-potatoes man will love Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant’s Sunday night prime rib dinner. Mr. World Cuisine, on the other hand, will love the mesibah at Zahav, which includes eight vegetarian salads, hummus with fresh laffa bread, cold and hot mezze, and a whole chicken or fish wrapped in grape leaves and roasted over hot coals.
Big Poppa
Flipping through channels does not count as exercise. Give him the gift of health with a (cheap) ten-pack of cross-training classes at Fusion. This may be just what he needs to bid adieu to his gut. (He won’t miss it.)
