That’s what local designer Kristin Haskins was thinking about when she created Strangefruit, jackets and dresses that embody the philosophy of comfort with a designer aesthetic.

The three-pocket blazer in army green is utilitarian with feminine touches (a cinched waist, a longer hem in the back). The cropped military jacket is another great choice: Made of soft cotton jersey, it hits right below the bust, has flowing upper sleeves, fitted cuffs, and leather detailing.

Each piece is draped and fitted on a dress form, so the garments hang neatly and move with you.

And as summer turns to fall, they’ll be perfect to throw on over that tee of yours.
