In college, you majored in spinning your wheels. And the jury’s still out as to whether you’re walking a career path or running in circles.
Ellen Rockower’s a girl after your own heart. The Philly jewelry designer gravitates toward round objects, too.
When we saw her enamel collection, we were struck by her healthy splash of artistic obsession sprinkled with a dash of sweetness (that’s not gaggy cutesy). A cascading cluster of aqua and mustard yellow orbs dangles from delicate silver drops wrapped in copper. Another favorite has a line of bright red circles hanging from a single silver wire.
Rockower’s theme is consistent — a symphony of spirals and coils. So these baubles lend themselves to layering for dramatic effect.
That’s ballsy.
