If you let your dreams dictate real life choices, you’d be doing more wacky stuff. Like riding an elephant off a cliff into a river of chocolate, perhaps.
But when Stephanie Halford imagined creating necklaces during REM sleep, she gave into the subconscious nudge and started designing them for real.
Her crocheted mixes of mohair, thread, horsehair, and cashmere yarn give each piece a textured effect. Tiny, shiny beads that Halford has collected since she was a child, lengths of chain found in thrift stores or on the street, shark vertebrae she got whilst wresting a shark (psych!), turquoise, or bits of hardened volcanic ash make each necklace one of a kind.
They’re fab for layering or wrapping around your wrist for an updated take on the friendship bracelet.
And make you look absolutely dreamy.
