After reading this week's Weekend Guide, a couple girlfriends and I were excited to check out the Pizzettes on the Patio at Cecconi's. We arrived promptly at 4pm yesturday (Sunday) and were seated at a great corner table on the patio. When our waiter came by to get our drink order we informed him that we were interested in the special pizza/proseco menu but he didn't know what we were talking about. Thinking that he was just uninformed we asked another waiter as well as the hostess about the $12 special and again it seemed no one in the entire restaurant knew what we were talking about. Trying to make the best out of an awkward dining situation we all decided to just order a drink and then leave which is how we learned that the regular price for a cocktail is $12, it is not a special from 4pm-6pm , that is the cost at any time. Also, the pizzas ranged in price from $16 - $25, there were no $12 pizza options. Don't know where Daily Candy got there information from to post this special on your Weekend Guide but maybe someone should let the staff at Cecconi's know.
