You’ve done the Jersey Shore (more times than you can count). Grab some pals, load up the car, and make a break to St. Michaels, Maryland.
Stay
Book a gigantic (700 square feet), two-room suite at the Inn at 202 Dover. Make sure you drink the Peacock (apple cider, vodka, cinnamon), sample the homemade cookies in your room, and get slippery in your own steam shower and jetted tub.
Scoot
Feel free to forget where you put your car keys and opt for natural air conditioning. The Tilghman Island Marina rents scooters so you can get to area shops and restaurants like a zipster. All you need is a driver’s license.
Sail
Head out on the high seas with the social sail at Getaway Sailing (Friday, 5:15 p.m.-dusk). They also offer rentals and charters for seasoned boaters — and instruction so you don’t go completely overboard.
Sip
Back on land, drop by Eastern Shore Brewing to sample a three-beer tasting flight. Try local suds like Knot So Pale Ale (IPA), Magic (unfiltered hefeweizen), and other seasonal brews.
Sup
Sherwood’s Landing makes for an intimate afternoon tea in the morning room or waterfront dining in the nautical-themed dining room (try the crab spring rolls or the lamb shank.) Afterward, hit The Purser’s Pub for the largest selection of scotch (49 varieties) on the Eastern Seaboard.
Strip
As if you weren’t relaxed enough, book an appointment at the lovely Five Gables Inn & Spa for a top-notch hot stone massage, Caribbean Therapy body treatment, or destressing session in the sauna and pool.
Go on: Be gone, baby, gone.
