Screwed Up

The Accidental Wine Company

accidental wine company!

One episode of I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant is evidence enough that accidents do happen. Like a lot.

But every once in a while a mistake can lead to something awesome and brilliant (potato chips, LSD, penicillin).

Add to the list The Accidental Wine Company. Three cognoscenti scoop up bottles whose labels have been damaged, stained, outdated, or otherwise deemed undesirable and offer them to you for 20 to 40 percent less than their unblemished counterparts.

Ordering is infallible — just pick your price range, number of bottles (three, six, or twelve), varietal (red, white, or both), and expect to receive a surprise selection of misfits from the world over (North and South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand).

If you’re nice, they will even work with your personal preferences, whether it is a penchant for pinots or an aversion to merlots.

Making it a painless episode of flaw and order.

Buy my wine in Pasadena and Hollywood at wine stores that I've come to trust and continue to amaze me for their selection and prices. Have added Accidental Wines as a venue that fits two moments that invariably come up - "really want that wine, can't afford it" and "too good a price to pass up". If you have a wine store that you trust, that's a start. Accidental Wines complete the picture for people looking for a good bottle of wine at a good price.

They can't ship to those states because of the states liquor distributing laws. Each state has a different set of laws regarding liquor and those states only a third party distributor can deliver alcohol into the state.

This sounds great, but they won't ship to 17 states. : ( Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.
