the insider's guide to your city
DailyCandy is a handpicked selection of all that's fun, fashionable, food related, and culturally stimulating in the city you’re fixated on (and all over the Web).
You need shelter, water, and food to survive.
But to really live? Crown molding, wine, and vittles from newly opened Green Aisle Grocery, thank you very much.
Brothers Andrew and Adam Erace’s foodie paradise is housed in an itty-bitty row house on P’unk Ave. It’s bright and crisp, with front windows that look out onto the street.
Shelves are stocked with Stumptown, La Colombe, and Peregrine coffees; Zahav’s hummus; Pub & Kitchen’s barbecue sauce; James’s fresh pastas; Antoine Amrani chocolates; fruit and veggies; locally made cheese; and the best fresh-squeezed orange juice we’ve ever tasted.
They’re also peddling Better Together brownies, to add a devilish balance to the healthy factor.
Just a little taste of the sweet life.
Green Aisle Grocery, 1618 East Passyunk Avenue (215-465-1411).
