Opening today is Dean Street Townhouse — a 39-bedroom hotel and restaurant (accessible to all) in an elegant Georgian townhouse — run by those behind Babington House, Shoreditch House and most recently Pizza East.

The decor is fabulously granny chic (poster beds and hand-painted wallpapers). The restaurant, which starts serving Monday, is similarly old school, with vintage armchairs, chandeliers and dishes such as pheasant goujons with Oxford sauce.

Sounds like a classic recipe you can rely on.
