There’s chilly Miami (oxymoron), chilly San Francisco (midsummer), and chilly Chicago (inhumane).
Then there’s Chilly Philly. Besides being appropriately freezing, the delicious, locally made ice cream gives back to the community.
Why eat the frozen stuff in winter? Well, it eases the ever-deepening pit of despair brought on by an unforgiving job, indifferent mate, and the total lack of a social life, for one. Aside from that, Chilly Philly is no joke: It tastes like thick, rich, creamy old-fashioned homemade ice cream.
Owner Coleman Poses keeps it simple with two flavors: Philly Vanilly (vanilla, duh) and Vanilla Malt Chip (with little chocolate chips). He also donates part of the proceeds to area public schools.
Which is enough to warm hearts everywhere.
