Udder Deliciousness
Manhattan Milk Delivery Service
milk it for all it's worth!

Things are really falling into place for locavores and their hundred-mile diets.

Thankfully, the trend’s worth milking.

As in: Manhattan Milk, a modern take on old-fashioned dairy delivery. Starting today, you can have glass bottles of fresh, cold, organic moo dropped off (and, once empty, picked up) weekly.

It’s run by two gents in the biz for a decade (clearly, it’s doing their bodies good), who make sure their Amish country bovines are grass fed and free of scary pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics.

In addition to offering skim, 1 percent, whole (cream on top), and chocolate varieties, the boys have organic eggs, butter, cheese, and yogurt. And, soon enough, produce boxes from upstate.

For just a $5 charge anywhere on the island, they’re determined to deliver in time for your morning coffee (farm call: 4 a.m.).

Because, let’s face it, it’s the milkman’s baby.

Manhattan Milk (917-388-2713 or manhattanmilk.com). Try a bottle at Batch, 150b West 10th Street, between Waverly Place and Greenwich Avenue (212-929-0250).
