Heaven (n.): any place of complete bliss, delight, and peace.
We’ve found ours at Reliquary, Hayes Valley’s latest boutique.
There’s plenty to worship in the rustic, organic space: Owner Leah Bershad stocks her racks with a divine mix of small-production designers and vintage finds. Tribal and Victorian-era jewelry (like an enchanting locket collection), American Vintage lightweight sweaters, indigo Majestic linen tees, handmade Raleigh denim, and Danish military sweaters might cause a religious experience.
Genuflect to an art deco beaded top (very Grey Gardens) before dabbing on Japanese body powder. And stacks upon stacks of quilts and blankets — ranging from Navajo to Amish patchwork to crocheted afghans — will answer your prayers on cold nights.
Reliquary, 537 Octavia Street, between Hayes and Grove Streets (415-431-4000 or reliquarysf.tumblr.com).
