A riddle: If Jen is an omnivore, Laura is a pescatarian, and Susie is vegan, how long does it take to figure out where to eat lunch?
Solve the mystery (and avoid a never-ending email chain) by hitting the new Hodo Soy Beanery kiosk in the Ferry Building.
The vegan menu from the Oakland-based artisan maker of organic soy milk, tofu, and yuba has something for everyone: Meat-eaters can dig into the hearty Sky Is Falling sandwich, made with tofu spiced with yellow curry and turmeric; the yuba kung pao salad (brown rice noodles, cucumber, daikon, carrot, Soy Nuts, and cilantro) satisfies lighter appetites.
There are smoothies and parfaits for breakfast and Hodo’s own tofu products to take home. As for whether to get rice pudding or Scharf’s chocolate mousse for dessert?
Well, that’s a question wrapped in an enigma.
