When you think of the W Hotel, pretty people, posh surroundings, and an overall urban vibe probably come to mind.
Farm-fresh cuisine? Not necessarily.
Trace bucks the status quo, now serving organic, sustainable, and entirely traceable local ingredients in SOMA. Upscale food styling elevates already-satisfying small plates and entrees like homemade ravioli with summer squash and grilled rib-eye with pillowy gnocchi and lobster mushrooms.
Though you won’t find wooden benches or Mason jars there, Stanley Saitowitz’s interior architectural design mimics the surrounding metropolis: Graphic flooring replicates the city grid, quartz tabletops symbolize buildings, and Upstairs, the lounge, looks almost celestial with sleek, white decor and starry, fiber-optic bar. Experience the complete renovation in October, when the dining room will extend to the check-in area with a 60-seat communal table and DJs spinning from the upper balcony will entertain many a party.
It is the W, after all.
