Special Delivery from Papergirl SF

Submit, Show, and Disperse Art

papergirl sf!

Dear Mr. Postman,

We’ve grown tired of your dull deliveries. No longer will we check our box to find useless coupon packets and the prior tenant’s mail.

We’re taking matters into our own hands by sending in a submission to Papergirl SF. Inspired by the original concept from Berlin, founder Heather Tompkins brought the idea of publicly disseminated artwork stateside.

Original submissions are due Saturday, in any medium that can be rolled (drawings, paintings, photos, even a self-portrait made entirely from used postage stamps). Papergirl SF then compiles them for a show at Incline Gallery.

And that’s not all: The team rolls and binds all the submissions and disperses them via bike to random passersby. Anyone who’s feeling generous and active can partake.

Sorry, Mr. Postman. Just don’t go postal.

For submission information, go to papergirl-sf.com. Art show, October 15-22, at Incline Gallery, 766 Valencia Street, between 18th and 19th Streets (inclinegallerysf.com). Roll & Ride Distribution starts October 29 at Arch Drafting Supply, 99 Missouri Street, at 17th Street (415-433-2724 or archsupplies.com).
