We’ve solved the puzzle: It was Professor Plum, in the restaurant, with a fork and knife.
No, silly — that’s the Plum next door. Enticing Clue players and revelers alike is Plum Bar, the latest incarnation from Daniel Patterson (Coi), opening adjacent to Plum restaurant tonight.
The primary weapons here are glasses filled with Scott Beattie’s (Cyrus, Spoonbar) fresh fruit and herb gastronomic cocktails. An eight-foot shelf of just these ingredients flanks the bar for optimal potion-making efficiency.
Behind that lies the money spot: a secluded nook for twelve, prime for sharing plates from chef Ron Boyd’s bar menu (elegant charcuterie, beef tendon chicaronnes, grilled cheese). The entire space oozes an amber glow, with worn poems papering the walls, a woodsy ash bar, and mirrored fixtures adorned with hanging candles.
This weekend, we’re envisioning you, on a blond stool, with a cocktail in hand.
