The Window is:
a) Another thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen, during which you will wet yourself.
b) The focus of all attention when that you-know-what-time feeling hits.
c) Coffee Bar’s future cafe-turned-pop-up haven.
Thanks to a questionable 5-Hour Energy habit, the answer is C, launching tomorrow.
Whilst transforming the former What’s Up Dog into its third location, Coffee Bar shares its fully operational kitchen with local pop-ups. Every day through March is booked with talent, from vets like Sweet Jo’s Chili & Biscuits and Soup Junkie to newbies like Maite Catering’s Colombian fare and Jablow’s Meats.
Depending on the day, order brunch, lunch, dinner, or late-night from the service window. High cocktail tables provide sidewalk dining until the interior build-out is complete (by Coffee Bar’s original team, so expect warm industrial and seating for 25, plus more outside).
Musical chairs, anyone?
The Window, 1599 Howard Street, at 12th Street. For pop-up schedules, go to coffeebar-usa.com or follow @thewindowsf on Twitter.
