A Current Affair Goes E-commerce

Vintage finds at the click of a mouse

a current affair!

Tabloid news lost its shock value long ago. The Bachelor with a bowl cut stepping out on Courtney? Called it. Snooki’s spawning? Shocker.

But when we heard our favorite pop-up vintage and designer marketplace, A Current Affair, just launched an online boutique, we were (pleasantly) caught off guard.

The brainchild of Richard Wainwright (New/Found) and Joey Grana (Scout), the site hosts biweekly flash sales with pieces culled from top regional vendors (Siren Vintage, Vok). The sophomore sale, which launches today, hones in on spring staples like floral and lace frocks, Valentino fringe pants, and the perma-classic Chanel 2.55 bag.

Still up for grabs from mid-March’s debut round: a 1970s YSL swirl collar necklace and Bottega Veneta Intrecciato bag at $498 each (that’s a song compared to today’s $3,500 price tags).

All item descriptions detail measurements, era notation, and condition (ranging from good to mint).

It’s sure to be your entertainment tonight.
