Old Clothes Meet New at Caza

Vintage furniture, indie designers, and more

caza!

Your interest in hunting falls somewhere between curling and motocross.

Tracking down one-of-a-kind vintage and up-and-coming designers is another story.

Wicker Park’s newest shop, Caza (Spanish for “the hunt”), is an easy target. Former Lenny & Me owner Alison Veit recently joined ranks with a new creative team (Ana Autrey, Whitney Faile), overhauling the space and melding midcentury with modern to create what the trio calls a boutique-style department store.

Contemporary items, like Baggu bags, mingle with those from indie sources, like Saudade jewelry. On the vintage end, shop 1920s dresses, colorful Versace blouses, and conversation-starting furniture (Kimball baby grand, anyone?). Deck your tabletop with Japanese-inspired ceramics and ’50s dishware.

Gifts and accessories with Scandinavian, Southwestern (woven purses, chunky necklaces), or art deco flair round out the selection.

And aim to please.
