Fedoras, laser pens, clip-on hair extensions: The Grove’s pop carts don’t have the hippest track record.
That’s where Pop Carts (note proper noun usage) come in. Starting tomorrow the trio of mini wagons brings an indie edge to the alfresco retail scene.
Each all-white buggy with special signage carries wares (many exclusive) by a different L.A. designer. Shop cheeky accessories by Ban.do (heart-shaped clutches, sparkly headbands) at one, Clare Vivier leather carryalls (iPhone cases, messenger bags in limited-edition burgundy) at another, and Heidi Merrick’s sleepwear-inspired collection (luxe pj’s, pillowcases) at a third.
They’ll stick around through Valentine’s Day with goods by additional artisans (sorry, we’ve been sworn to secrecy on names) tossed into the mix.
Just call them deals on wheels.
