Eating your feelings typically involves Nutella and a carton of Edy’s (for protein).
Find deeper fulfillment at Eat My Heart Out, a traveling dinner series coming to town Saturday.
Over the course of the night, five performers — including comedian Caitlin Gill and TheRumpus.net’s Isaac Fitzgerald — entertain guests who feast on dishes inspired by each tale.
Chef Joel Coleman’s (Ame, Elevation 66 Brewing Company) attention to sensory detail results in plates like pine-infused funnel cake (to complement a piece about a county fair and a pinecone-loving boyfriend) and Dungeness crab salad with garam masala vinaigrette (a nod to a crustacean-centric story).
Spots are going fast, but six VIP tickets are reserved for DailyCandy readers (including front-table seating and special place settings).
Talk about being spoon fed.
Eat My Heart Out, Saturday, 7 p.m. Address is given upon purchase. To buy tickets ($110), email eatmyheartoutshow@gmail.com and mention DailyCandy.
