Tiger-stripe nails. Flannel on top of floral. And a neon baseball hat.
Take a break from sartorial Jenga with understated beaded jewelry from Abacus Row.
Six months ago, SF-based designer Christine Trac shifted paths from a career in environmental conservation to launch a line of minimalist accessories. Designs cater to a purposefully casual beach babe who makes undone look downright elegant.
That means fourteen-karat beads, delicate silver chains, and braided matte hunks of turquoise paired with faceted amber glass.
Each piece is named after a constellation. The Leo — a fluid strand of gold bubbles of varying size — takes the standard arm party down a notch.
A real balancing act.
Available at Park and Pond, 1422 Grant Avenue, between Union and Green Streets (415-217-8864 or parkandpond.com); at abacusrow.com, $32-$135.
