This black olive tapenade is one of her favorite tricks. It’s addictive, deceptively simple, and takes less than ten minutes to make.

Black Olive Tapenade
Serves twelve

2 7-oz. jars pitted kalamata olives
6 cloves garlic
½ tin anchovies (or more to taste)
½ c. olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Put all the ingredients into a food processor.

2. Pulse until the mixture has a chunky consistency.

3. Serve with bread or crackers.
