Wrap Yourself in Dreams of Gold

Fiber necklaces and crowns with a gypset vibe

You consider your passport your most valuable accessory.

Take your love of the exotic home in the form of designs from Bay Area textile line Dreams of Gold.

During a wintertime reunion, Penland School of Craft pals Liza Yee and Erika Pahk created the fiber-based collection, which celebrates the thrill of the find. Uncovered treasures like crystals, seashells, and twigs breathe new life into sustainable textiles (alpaca, sheep, silk, merino wool, cashmere) and ancient craft techniques (knotting, braiding, weaving).

dreams of gold jewelry!

Stand out in a sea of LBDs in the Ilona crown. Cashmere, silk, camel, or merino wool braided with cotton and wrapped in gold thread is a Tibetan princess’s answer to New Year’s Eve sparkle. Looking to make a subtler statement? The braided cerise necklace, in pinks, reds, and roses, is pretty without feeling too precious.

Stay tuned for more home goods (pillows, curtains) to join the wall mobiles.

They’re going to be a real trip.
