My Friend Flicka

Been wistfully ogling Scandinavians again?

No, not the leggy blonde ice queens. (That sort of thing can get you in trouble, sport.) We mean the wares at Flicka, the new store on Fillmore Street filled with clothing and home accessories made by Scandinavian designers.

Owned by two Swedish girls, the space feels like a comfy living room with sisal rugs, overstuffed chairs, and plenty of books and magazines (from Scandinavia, of course). Suspended from the racks are basic tees by Filippa K; jeans, skirts, and dresses by J. Lindeberg; Acne Action jeans (the Sevens of Sweden); and coats from Hope. Also on display are bags by Marimekko, lamps by Sunami, and notebooks by Bookbinders Design. So go on. Ogle to your heart’s content.

Just, you know, don’t harass the proprietors.
