They’re everywhere. On your boss’s lapel, your best friend’s sweater, even your mom’s purse.
Brooches are so in they’re almost out.
Sure, you could look like every other SJP wannabe (or has-been, for that matter), or you could pick up a handmade pin from local crafty duo Rose + Sadie. Tracy White and Carly Stair (whose alter egos were inspired by the movie Big Business) use embroidery floss to sew adorable, simple felt designs on fabric buttons that add flair to any jacket, bag, belt, or hat. Their first collection features old technology (TV’s, boom boxes, cameras), dessert (cupcakes and ice cream cones), and style staples like hearts, flowers, and birds. Get a pair of twin pins, which feature walkie-talkies, for you and your BFF. Don’t see what you want? For a little extra, they’ll take custom orders (in the past, these have included pink robots and wedding rings).
So give the brooch a rest. Baby, you just got pinned.
