Duh. Alison Appel, a.k.a. The Cupcake Fairy, recently ditched her techie past to share her baking skills with the world. Operating out of her home in Noe Valley, Alison cranks out cupcakes (obviously), cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, and muffins from scratch using organic ingredients.

She’ll make almost anything your little heart desires, but her specialties include Polar Bear cupcakes (white cake with vanilla icing), Sophisticate cupcakes (chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache icing), blueberry streusel muffins, chocolate rum cheesecake, and chewy chocolate chip cookies. Give her three days’ notice, and she’ll supply your next dinner party, shower, or sugar craving.
