You’ve always pictured yourself married to an Italian stallion. Tall, dark, handsome … and that accent. It’s especially hot when he’s whispering into your ear.
Only the fantasy ends there, because you can’t understand a damn syllable of his seductive Italian.
Thanks to Enoteca Viansa, that’s about to change. The adorable Grant Street wine bar now offers Italian wine and language classes.
Each session includes a tasting and history lesson about a wine varietal (Athena, Lorenzo, La Nebbia), an accompanying snack (like crostini or biscotti), and a lesson in beginner or intermediate Italian.
Take a single class or the whole series.
Depending on how much you want to understand Mr. Amalfi Coast.
Enoteca Viansa, 334 Grant Avenue, between Bush and Sutter Streets (415-391-0207). Classes meet Sundays, 2-4 p.m., through July 17. For a full schedule, go to viansa.com.
