Bread Winner

The theorem states: If a hexagon is drawn in any conic section, its opposite sides will meet in three collinear points.

Your thoughts exactly.

But in these here parts, we have a little Pascal’s Theorem of our own.

And it goes like this: If ubiquitous restaurateur Pascal Rigo (Americano, Cafe du Soleil, Rigolo) opens a new bakery in Cow Hollow, there will then be a total of five places to score his signature French-ified croissants, pastries, and delectable sweets.

Joining sister establishments on Pine, Polk, Fillmore, and Cole, Rigo’s new Boulange de Union follows its older siblings’ lead with fresh-baked creations, strong java, and an atmosphere that will leave even the pickiest Francophiles cooing, “C’est magnifique!”

Organic black olive country bread, crunchy almond cookies, madeleines, buttery shortbread with lemon and sesame seeds, and many other starch-laden delights arrive three to four times each day from the nearby Pac Heights ovens. Factor in a menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches, indoor and outdoor seating, and huge steaming bowls of cafe au lait, and you’ve got yourself one irresistible spot for your daily bread.

At least, that’s our theory.
