Yes, you’ve been known to order your double soy decaf lattes with a scoop of no-sugar-added vanilla and extra foam. And occasionally you’ve asked for your halibut grilled, not sauteed, with the sauce on the side. Does that warrant the label “high maintenance”?
Not according to Danette and Eric Scheib, the hubby and wife duo behind Lemon Twist, the mod new boutique featuring their adorable clothing line in Hayes Valley. They’ve pooled their talents to do it their way, as well as yours.
Danette’s ’60s-style shifts, houndstooth trenches, and sweet but sassy tulle skirts can be conjured in a fabric of your liking if those on the racks don’t suit. Admire Eric’s lovely lady logo and snag one of his unique spray-painted tees with stenciled portraits of Mission mariachis or John Lennon.
Still pining for that Courrèges-inspired white coat you said you’d come back for last summer? Danette will gladly stitch up a piece from one of her old collections at her onsite workshop.
After all, knowing (and getting) exactly what you want shouldn’t result in nasty name-calling.
Lemon Twist, 537 Octavia Street, between Hayes and Grove Streets (415-558-9699 or lemontwist.net).
