Sexy Beast

Sustainable and organic products? Love. Whole foods? Even better.

Stalking and killing your own meat for dinner? Eh, not really your deal.

Now you can reap the bounty of the hunt (without actually brandishing a weapon) with a whole beast dinner party at Incanto. With at least two weeks’ notice, the restaurant will cook up an entire animal of your choice — roast suckling pig, lamb, or goat — and carve it tableside for you and up to twenty of your nearest and dearest.

It’s not just a gimmick, though. The folks at Incanto believe that whole-beast dining (versus slaying an animal solely for its prime parts and wasting the rest) strengthens the connection between diners and their food.

No camo or ammo required for the rustic four-course menu of family-style antipasti, soup or salad, a hunka meat, and one of two desserts. Pair each course with wine and send your guests home with doggie bags full of sandwich fixings. Offal is optional.

But one thing’s for certain: You won’t believe you ate the whole thing.
