And now for Toffee Talk with your host, Candy Sugarman.

CS: So the other day, I’m walking my dawg — no big whoop — and I run into my friend Mollie Lewis. She was leaving the JCC where she whips up Matzel Toffee like her bubbe used to make: bite-size matzo crackers covered in toffee, dipped in Guittard chocolate, and sprinkled with crushed almonds. I’ve been noshing ever since. Oh, we have a caller. Hello? You’re on Toffee Talk.

Caller: Candy, is it certified kosher?

CS: Yes! And if you don’t want to get off your tuchas, you can call or e-mail Mollie and order. Ack, they’re so delish, I’m feeling a little verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves. I’ll give you a topic: Butterscotch is neither a butter nor a scotch.
