Go, Go, Gadget Gardener

Go Go Green Garden

To you, eating local means a burger at the nearest dive. You’ve always assumed the slow food movement was just a euphemism for constipation.

Time for a food awakening from Amy Pennington and Go Go Green Garden.

The 33-year-old ball of energy caught the gardening bug on her parents’ small Long Island farm, then studied organic gardening through Seattle Tilth. She also has serious foodie chops, since she was Tom Douglas’s right-hand woman for years.

Which makes her a mix of garden coach, herb enthusiast, and personal chef. She’ll plant an edible garden in your backyard; help you harvest your own herbs and veggies; and walk you through recipes for meals, tinctures, and teas.

You’ll learn how to make a calendula salve, tomato confit, and kale that doesn’t taste like swamp.

And be able to tell anyone, no matter how contrary, exactly how your garden grows.
