Make your breakfast and lunch dilemma a little easier at The Sentinel.

FiDi’s newest trove, helmed by Canteen culinary wizard Dennis Leary, boasts a daily-changing menu of single-option delectables (with the exception of espresso bevvies). Tables will soon dot the front sidewalk at the cozy corner spot just off Market, but for now you can stand Euro-style at the walk-up counter or get your goods to go.

Depending on the day, sink your teeth into crumbling coffee cake or a heavenly blueberry muffin for breakfast. Chicken salad with golden raisins and black bean soup with spicy red pepper puree were the lunch du jour on our visit. If you’re lucky, he’ll be scooping his sinful Valrhona chocolate mousse for dessert.
