Where’s the Party?

Want a sweet meet?

Invite little ones to a party at Miette Confiserie.

The Hayes Valley candy shop hosts sugar-spangled birthday teas complete with old-fashioned diversions like ballerinas and sack races. (The parties are so sweet, you’ll need to book well in advance; it could be tough to get a date before the holidays.)

Sandwiches are served on floral china while a dancer, storyteller, and portrait artist entertain. A dessert of mini cakes and flower-infused cotton candy amp the energy before everyone heads to the park for spoon races and jump roping.

Award departing guests with a self-assembled goodie bag filled with Dutch licorice, saltwater taffy, and gooey caramels.

And prepare for a seriously sweet reception.

Miette Confiserie, 449 Octavia Street, near Hayes Street (415-626-6221 or miette.com).
