Bug Shot

You have no problem picking your kid out in a photo; he’s the one making the monkey face.

Too bad his real smile never makes it into pics.

Nancy Nguyen-Wong of Bug and Bean Photography has a knack for capturing authentic emotion on celluloid. Her portraits of newborns, kids, and moms-to-be are relaxed and organic — and refreshingly frameworthy.

A mother of four herself, Nancy knows all about short attention spans. A typical two-to-three-hour session unfolds casually (in your own home or a favorite stomping ground) amid chitchat and natural light, with breaks for snacks and wardrobe changes. Once the photos are developed, Nancy will help you select the best shot.

We guarantee you’ll be stuck for choice.
