Loving Cup Cafe Opens

We’d rather not know how The Rolling Stones got their sticky fingers, but we’ll take brown sugar any day.

Especially when it’s sprinkled on gourmet rice pudding at Loving Cup.

Polk Street’s new cafe (named in honor of the Stones’s 1972 song) serves spoonfuls of the dessert made from scratch daily in Berkeley. The puddings come in seasonal flavors like eggnog and pistachio and with toppings like black bottom ganache and “everything nice” (cinnamon and nutmeg).

If you’re not partial to the pud, they also serve artisan espresso from Barefoot Coffee and fro yo with mix-ins ranging from peanut butter and animal crackers to pumpkin pie.

Almost everything is organic and all products are compostible.

Which means you’ll be getting some satisfaction.
