Cream of the Crop

MyFarm Vegetable Community

Want the dirt on some goods we’ve uncovered?

Fine, though they may be a little soiled. But that’s the deal when you’re getting it fresh from MyFarm.

The local vegetable-growing community (already 100 members strong) plants, harvests, and distributes crops from organic mini farms in backyards across the city.

Here’s how it works: If you have an outdoor space that meets the size requirement (minimum 128 square feet), they’ll plant the seeds best suited to your neighborhood’s climate (sunny spots love heirloom tomatoes). Come April, they’ll return to harvest your produce for distribution to members.

If all you want is a variety box, simply sign up and pay $25 once a week to pick up from a nearby address. Your larder will range from artichokes and endive to fava beans and eggplant.

It’s an experience you will totally dig.
