This little piggy went to market. This little piggy stayed home. And this little piggy oinked, “Bartender, pour me a cold one and make it a double.” We found hog heaven at The Tipsy Pig, the Marina’s new gastro tavern, opening for dinner tomorrow. The Sustainable Restaurants gang took over the old Bistro Yoffi space (who knew it had a killer back patio?); added an antique wood bar, library shelving, and Mason jars; and got another stellar menu from chef Sam Josi. Pig out on warm pretzels with smoked cheddar dip, pulled pork sliders, bacon mac ’n’ cheese, and the best fried chicken, um, ever. Creative cocktails like the Grapes of Wrath and 50 beers (drafts come in three sizes) keep your belly full. You’ll scream “whee! whee! whee!” all the way home. The Tipsy Pig, 2231 Chestnut Street, at Avila Street (415-292-2300 or thetipsypigsf.com).
