Just Eat It

The Plant Cafe Organic Restaurant and Cafe Opens

They say only the good die young. (Rest in peace, MJ).

But eat well at The Plant Cafe Organic and you just might live a long, thrilling life.

The cozy Marina joint known for fresh, mostly organic and sustainable fare just spawned a lustrous sibling in a renovated pier warehouse near La Mar. Dining in and taking out are easy as one, two, three on the grab-and-go side with salads, sammies, cookies, and smoothies so good they’re criminal.

Views from the restaurant side’s heated patio across the corridor will really turn you on. But the pizzas, oysters, mussels, free-range chicken, and full bar will knock you off of your feet.

Honeycomb Coladas made of coconut milk, pineapple juice, and rum with toasted coconut flakes beckon pretty young things.

Don’t stop till you get enough.
